Take a walk around Riga, Latvia

Let’s take a walk through the streets of Old Town Riga, Latvia.

Get yourself lost on the narrowing winding roads until your stumble upon a square, watched over by one of the many superimposing churches. Maybe stop at Christmas market on the way for a warming glass of Mulled wine.

Find the guild houses and decide which you would have been apart of had you had the chance or find the building dubbed the Gingerbread house and pretend you’re part of a fairytale.

Or if that doesn’t take your fancy, why not leave the old town and visit the freedom monument or if you’re into art nouveau take wander down Alberta Street and glace at all the amazing buildings you can see on your way.

No matter how you look at it, Riga, Latvia is a city that needs to be explored. There’s something for everyone here.

    One of the things I love about these pictures is the sparseness of the people. Looks like an underrated travel destination and I’d love to go. Some of my partner’s extended family is from there.
